Hospitalist

MedWest-Haywood and MedWest-Harris inpatients are seen by our highly trained hospitalists.  The hospitalists at both hospitals are in continuous contact with your primary care physician throughout your hospital stay. Your doctor and your hospitalist will consult about your case before admission and at the time of your discharge. Your primary care physician will have secure access to all of your medical records concerning your hospital stay and will be able to view your files daily. There is always a hospitalist working in the hospital so a medical professional with knowledge about your case is always available. You will most likely see more than one member of the hospitalist team during your stay.
