The total birth experience involves a full range of prenatal classes, childbirth education classes, and lactation instruction. Our teachers are certified childbirth instructors, offering a wide range of classes including: Early Pregnancy; Preparation for Childbirth; Prepared Childbirth Refresher; Big Sisters/Big Brothers and Infant Massage Class.

Care at our center is provided by a group of licensed, professional and caring nurses who have received specialized traing in the care of women and newborn infants.

We also offer ongoing seminars on such topics as women’s cancers, heart disease, high blood pressure, and osteoporosis. For more information, please call 452-8458.

The Women’s Care Center at HRMC offers a family centered approach to childbirth which is designed to encourage a close relationship between mother, father, and newborn baby. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, safe environment for mother and child, while offering a variety of education programs to enhance the family’s understanding of pregnancy, labor and delivery, child care and parenthood.

Our birthing center contains six labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum suites; a central nurses station monitoring each suite; and six standard rooms for surgical patients.

The Women’s Care Center features soft feminine pastels, hardwood floors, oak furniture, and gentle lighting. The birthing suites offer the gentle ambiance of a lovely bedroom setting, with all the technology tucked out of sight.
