Millions of people of all ages fail to get quality restful sleep, resulting in concentration, memory, productivity, and alertness problems. The Sleep Disorder Center at Haywood Regional Medical Center offers convenient, comfortable testing designed to diagnose most sleep disorders.

A polysomnogram is used to measure bodily functions, such as brain waves, heart beats, eye movements, muscle tension, leg movements, air flow breathing, and blood oxygen levels. Testing is performed by a registered polysomnographic technologist while the patient is comfortably sleeping. A physician referral is required.
