Rehabilitation Services provides comprehensive physical therapy services by qualified, caring staff in the following specialties:
Haywood Regional Medical Center Rehabilitation Services is staffed by a team of rehab professionals who are experienced and committed to the goals of the patients. We are proud to say that our staff includes DPT’s (doctors of physical therapy), physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, athletic trainers, physical therapy aAssistants, clinical psychologist, and certified wound care specialists. The commitment to our patients and physicians makes us a team prepared to help you achieve your goals in overcoming a medical condition or physical injury.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists provide services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. We educate and treat patients with speech, voice, language, cognitive and swallowing problems as a result of stroke, dementia, head injury, MS, ALS, Parkinson’s, and cancer along with other reasons. Specialized procedures offered include: Modified Barium Swallow studies, Videostroboscopy, Electrolarynx training and Passy-Muir speaking valve training.
Our Hand Team is dedicated to providing comprehensive care of injuries and conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. We work closely with the physician to help you return to your normal activities and job demands as soon as possible.
Acute and chronic wounds are treated by our highly qualified staff of Physical Therapists and Certified Wound Care Specialists. The wound care team works closely with referring physicians to provide advanced wound care that will assist your healing and understanding of the wound care process.
Individualized treatment programs are tailored to each patients needs. We also realize that pain and injury affects the whole family. The staff will strive to improve strength, flexibility, pain, endurance, coordination, as well as educate both patient and family on the condition and outcome they can expect.
Advantages of Rehab at HRMC
Our facilities are equipped to provide advanced treatment options with measurable results. In addition, our aquatic program offers a perfect setting for early mobilization and strength training. We are located at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center. This allows us to transition our patients to the fitness center for one FREE month following rehabilitation. Brochures / Information:

YOU come first! We are striving to MOVE YOU FORWARD. Our office staff works very hard to provide you with quick evaluations and convenient appointment times. Due to the flexibility of our staff, we can offer appointments from 6:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday appointments are also available.
