Regional Medical Center Foundation will be glad to speak with you.
For more information, please call
454-9340.
Customer Service Relations
If you have customer service concerns, first contact your nurse manager
or supervisor. If the situation is not resolved, you may contact
the Customer Service Representative at 452-8820. The Customer Service
Representative is authorized by the hospital administration to learn
of patients’ needs and concerns and to refer these to the appropriate
hospital personnel for prompt action. The Customer Service representative
provides you with a neutral person to whom you may direct your concerns
and complaints in a confidential manner. Your call will not limit
the care you receive or your access to care.
Library Cart
The Hospital Auxiliary, in cooperation with the Haywood County Public
Library, operates a Library Cart within the Hospital. This service
loans donated books and magazines to patients and visitors. Rounds
are made with the cart in the afternoon.
Lost and Found
Lost and found items are sent to the Security Department where they
are held for 30 days. The Security Department can be reached at 452-8255
or by calling the Hospital operator.
Mail
Mail is delivered daily. Mail addressed to the patient should include
the patient’s name and room number followed by Haywood Regional
Medical Center,
262 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721. If you need
a letter mailed, please give the stamped envelope to your nurse.
Newspapers
Patients receive free newspaper delivery of the local and national
paper to their rooms. There are newspaper vending machines in the
second floor snack bar.
Notary
Notary services are available to patients. HRMC employees are able
to notarize a variety of documents. However, HRMC employees are not
able to serve as witnesses to health care documents such as Living
Wills and Health Care Powers of Attorney. We will provide the notary and the forms
needed for the Living Will and Health Care Power of Attorney. Patient and/or family will be responsible for arranging for the necessary witnesses. Please call 452-8304 or 452-8103 for more
information.
Volunteer Services
There are over 200 volunteers who donate more than 33,800 hours annually
to serve Haywood Regional Medical Center. From the information desk
to patient mail delivery, these dedicated people are an essential
part of the Hospital. For more information on
volunteer services, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 452-8210.
Your Medicines
When you visit our healthcare facility as a patient, you will need to provide us with a list of the medicines that you are taking at home. This list includes all prescription medicines, over the counter medicines, vitamins and herbal remedies. You may be asked for this information several times during the course of your hospital stay so that we can provide the best care available for your visit.
