Personal Wellness Profile
Health is a combination of physical, mental and social well-being. Upon completion of a confidential questionnaire and screening, the PWR computes your health age and wellness score and recommends a lifelong wellness action plan.

Living Well Newsletter
The Health Promotions and Public Relations departments distribute a publication listing health education opportunities sponsored by the Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center (HRHFC) and Haywood Regional Medical Center (HRMC). [Click here] to review the latest edition of the newsletter.

Real Life Weight Management
This weight management program will help you develop the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve and maintain your weight loss goal. Individual and group sessions emphasize education and motivation to support a healthy lifestyle. This program is for the community, HRMC and HRHFC members. HRMC employees and HRHFC members receive a discount.

Freedom From Smoking
This is a 7-week series facilitated by American Lung Association certified instructors. Success rates increase by participating in a program like Freedom from Smoking. Class times vary. Cost is $25.00 per person.

Wellness Wednesday
The Health Promotion staff offers blood glucose checks free of charge. Typically the screening is offered on the third Wednesday of every month. Times, locationsand additional screenings offered will vary.

Health Screenings
Throughout the year the Health Promotion department coordinates various health screeningsfor heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, and prostate cancer.

Diabetes Education Center
The Diabetes Education Center is accredited by the American Diabetes Association. Physician-referred clients receive assessments and education by professional staff members including nurses, dieticians, exercise specialists, educators and psychologists.

WellCheck
WellCheck is HRMC's employee wellness program. Annual screenings, coaching sessions, educational programs, and an opportunity to earn incentive money totaling $300 for full-time employees are available. WellCheck families are eligible for HRHFC membership discounts.

Corporate Wellness
Whether you employ 5 people or 500, corporate wellness programs can improve morale and productivity as well as reduce absenteeism and rising health costs. Our experienced and professional staff will assess the health status of your employees and tailor a wellness plan for your business.
