Recruiting and retaining members at the fitness center is a shared responsibility by all associates of the fitness center, it is also the major duty of the Membership Office. The Membership Office consists of the Membership Coordinator and the Member Services Assistant. The Membership Office Staff are the primary salespersons for all new memberships. The Membership Staff is responsible for getting new members involved in the fitness center by collecting accurate interest information and then attempts to schedule a Fitness Assessment, Personal Training session, or other interest appointment. The member integration process is important so members will become more comfortable at the fitness center, utilization will increase, program participation will increase, membership length of stay will increase, and hopefully long-term health benefits will be gained by each of our members. The primary goal of the Membership office is to recruit new members and generate a lead base of new prospects. Secondary to that is to ensure higher retention rates and improved member satisfaction.
