Better Breathers
Better Breathers of Haywood County, sponsored by Haywood Regional Medical Center and the American Lung Association, is a support group made up of individuals challenged by various respiratory conditions. The group meets the 2nd Tuesday every other month from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. The meetings are held in the Duke Endowment classrooms on the 2nd floor of the Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center. Cancer Support Group
Cancer Support Group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 2 pm at Canton Historical Museum on Park Street and is sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Call 648-2833 for more information.

Diabetes Support Group
Diabetes Support Group This group meets monthly at Haywood Regional Health and Fitness Center. The support group provides information and help to persons with diabetes and their families. All meetings are held in the Duke Endowment classrooms on the 2nd floor of the Fitness Center from 4-5 p.m. There is no fee, but please call 452-8085 to register.

Dystonia Support Group of WNC
This group meets bi-monthly at the Lewis Rathbun Center in Asheville from noon 'til 2 p.m. Dystonia is a widespread disorder but one of the least known. It is the 3rd most common movement disorder after Parkinson's Disease and Tremor. Is is a neurological disease affecting nearly 500,000 people in North America. Gloria McMaster is the Group Leader and area contact person. She is available as a speaker for an in-service hospital training for anyone from orderlies to physicians and is also available to groups within the community. Early Infant Loss Support Group
Healing Hearts is a new support group designed to help parents share and cope with the pain of losing an infant through miscarriage, stillbirth, or early infant death. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the conference room of Haywood Women's Medical Center, 123 Park Street, Canton. Becky Murray is the group coordinator. There are no dues or fees. For more information, call 452-8458.

Grief Consultation
Information regarding grief counseling and support may be obtained by calling Hospice of Haywood Regional Medical Center at 452-8292 and ask for Claire Stoeckel. There is no charge for the service.

Lifespan Cardiac Support Group
Lifespan Cardiac Support Group meets the 3rd Tuesday of every other month from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center classrooms. Please call 452-8061 for more information.

Man to Man
Man to Man sponsored by the American Cancer Society, promotes understanding of prostate cancer, treatment, and cancer survival. Men are encouraged to discuss their concerns and to share solutions to common problems. The group meets the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m., in the 2nd floor classroom at Haywood Regional Medical Center. Call Ed King at 926-5305 for more information.

MS Support Group
This MS support group will focus on issues of special interest for people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families. The group meets the second Monday of each month from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the second floor classroom of the hospital. Walking Tall
Walking Tall is sponsored by HRMC Osteoporosis Center and provides ongoing group support for anyone affected by Osteoporosis. The group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 11 am - 12:30 pm in the Duke Endowment Classrooms on the 2nd floor of the Health & Fitness Center. For more information, call 452-8850.
