The DOCU (Definitive Observation Care Unit) is a 22-bed telemetry unit designed to care for patients who require closer observation and monitoring due to their health condition. DOCU patients require portable heart monitors for the most precise, constant observation.

Patients come to the DOCU unit from the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, or are transferred from
another unit.
