Hospice Volunteers

Haywood Regional Medical Center has a very active volunteer Hospice program. Hospice volunteers lend support to patients, their families and/or caregivers for respite and socialization. They perform office work, deliver roses and provide other needed services.  Many of the volunteers assist with fund-raising activities and patient projects.  Volunteer training has been expanded to include issues regarding infection control, risk-management and patient confidentiality.  Hospice also utilizes volunteer clergy to provide spiritual care.
