HRMC hosts gymnastics program
Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center hosted its eight annual gymnastics program on Wednesday, May 28, The program allows youth the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned over the past several months in the gymnastics program.
“This year’s program was very successful with more than 70 parents and friends coming to support the gymnastics participants,” said Bill Fleming, veteran gymnastics instructor. “This was one of our most successful programs, with high participation in each session. “
Fleming is assisted by long-time instructor Susan Hartzell.
“Susie has brought her knowledge to our program and I appreciate her effort in continuing to make this program a strong one for our community,” Fleming said.
The evening was filled with excitement as the girls and boys showed strong tumbling skills and also performed high level skills on the balance beam.
Lindsey Frady said her daughter, Karrington, has participated in gymnastics at Haywood Regional Health & Fitness Center for three years.
“Karrington has made great progress in this program. She has been able to advance out of her age group and practice with the older groups,” Frady said. “Bill's classes are very structured and his ability to provide Karrington with individualized instruction has been well worth the time and effort.”
