Reinstatement of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) coverage

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina confirmed Monday re-instatement of provider coverage at Haywood Regional Medical Center for their members.

“I am most encouraged by this news,” said Al Byers, HRMC CEO. “This is a significant step toward our progress of returning to full capacity, while sustaining our number one goal of quality patient care and safety.”

Blue Cross and Blue Shield provides healthcare insurance coverage to numerous area residents, including the Haywood County school system.

“We have worked steadily with Blue Cross/Blue Shield to complete the documentation to reinstate coverage as quickly as possible,” Byers said. “This is a new beginning for Haywood Regional Medical Center and we are very happy to announce that we are 100 percent back in network for our Blue Cross and Blue Shield patients.”
