Midway Medical Center welcomes eighth doctor

Midway Medical Center now has eight family practitioners on staff. Dr. Frank Moskos began seeing patients May 12 at Midway’s Canton clinic.

Moskos has been practicing in Lancaster, Ohio.  He comes highly recommended from his colleagues in Ohio.

“Dr. Moskos really does a super job with making sure his patients understand what is happening with their care,” said Dr. Stanley McCloy, a family practitioner in Grove City, Ohio.

Moskos received his bachelor of science degree in biology at the University of Akron, graduating summa cum laude. He completed his doctorate of medicine at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in Columbus, Ohio, and his family medicine residency at Grant Medical Center, also in Columbus, Ohio.

Moskos said he looks forward to serving the citizens of Haywood County and surrounding areas.

He and his wife, Jennifer, and 11-month daughter, Daphne, reside in Waynesville. They are thrilled to be in the mountains and near Jennifer's parents, who live in Haywood County.

“We came here to visit and really liked the area; this place is beautiful and the pace here is more relaxed. We learned that Midway needed a physician. This is the sort of practice I wanted and trained for,” Moskos said.

Moskos is board certified in family medicine and retains professional certifications in advanced wilderness life support, advanced life support for obstetrics and advanced cardiac life support.

His interests include wilderness medicine, preventative medicine, sports medicine and teaching. He enjoys skiing, photography and travel.

“I can do all that here,” he said.

Midway Medical Center’s other family physicians include: Dr. Richard Harsch, Dr. Mark McNeill, Dr. Brian Caffrey, Dr. Nancy Freeman and Dr. Cynthia Richards at the Clyde office; and Dr. Mark Kinter and Dr. Marjorie Levreau at the Canton office. All are board certified Specialists with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
