Community Input Invited In Search for a NEW Hospital CEO
The Hospital Authority Board of Commissioners invites input from the community regarding the qualities that are desired in the next CEO of Haywood Regional Medical Center. The public may email input to Martin Godwin mgodwin@mcaulay.com until Friday, May 30th. Mr. Godwin is a consultant with The McAulay Firm, the executive search firm assisting HRMC with this effort.
“The purpose of seeking input from the community is to develop the best fit profile for a CEO at HRMC,” said Martin Godwin of the Charlotte-based firm. "We're particularly interested in feedback concerning the unique personal qualities desired in the ideal candidate."
During Godwin’s initial presentation to the board on April 10, he stressed that the board should tap into community interest and support to find out what the residents want in HRMC’s CEO and what qualifications would work well for Haywood County.
Search committee meetings will be open to the public, with the exception of meetings when personnel issues will be discussed. The date of the next meeting should be announced in a few days.
Search committee members include Dr. Michael Pass, Dr. Frances Owl-Smith, Dr. Shannon Hunter, Foundation board members Phyllis Prevost and Frank Powers, nurses Johnnie Sue Freck and Jill Burnette, Haywood County Commission Chairman Larry Ammons and the hospital board executive committee — Glenn White, Chairman; Jim Stevens, Vice Chairman; Mark Clasby, Treasurer; and Dr. Richard Steele, Secretary.
For more information or for dates for search committee meetings, call Haywood Regional Medical Center’s Corporate Communications office at 454-9339 or 452-9558. |
