HRMC to develop community relations council
Haywood Regional Medical Center is inviting members of the community to serve in a communications advisory capacity. The new HRMC Community Relations Council, which was approved Monday by the Foundation board, will function under the umbrella of the HRMC Foundation and Corporate Communications Department.
“This new committee is being created for the purpose of providing feedback from the community and to help us provide the information that is helpful to our community citizens in their process of gaining confidence and trust in HRMC,” said Robin Tindall-Taylor, HRMC Director of Foundation & Corporate Communications.
The council will provide input from the community concerning hospital issues and communications strategies. Council members will serve as a sounding board, public liaisons and spokespeople on behalf of the hospital; and will monitor and assess the trust and confidence of the community for the hospital.
The council will consist of 12 people who may be suggested through the Foundation trustees, civic organizations or individual application. Terms will be for one year, not to exceed three consecutive terms. The council will meet monthly.
Anyone interested in serving on the HRMC Community Relations Council can obtain an application at the HRMC Foundations office at 62 N. Main St., Waynesville, or can download one on the HRMC Web page at www.haymed.org.
