Max Reed named HRMC Employee of Month for January

Max Reed, a nursing assistant in Haywood Regional Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit, goes above and beyond his duty to provide other employees with everything they need, earning him the honor of being named January Employee of the Month.

 “Max is a great nursing assistant and someday he will be a great registered nurse,” a co-worker wrote. “HRMC is grateful for having him as an employee.”

 The Catch Someone program was implemented in 2001. Special boxes with cards to be filled out — identifying the employee and reason for being nominated — are in each department. Patients, volunteers, physicians, employees and visitors can fill out a Catch Someone card and explain why the person deserves special recognition.

 Recognition includes a prominently displayed portrait, an article in the STAT and a monetary award.  Up to six employees are invited to a breakfast, when the Employee of the Month is named.
