HRMC Welcomes Jeffrey Myers, M.D.

Jeffrey Myers, M.D., Obstetrics and Gynecology, will be joining the medical staff of Haywood Regional Medical Center as of August 20.

Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Myers received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, MAHEC, Mission St. Josephs Health System, Asheville, NC. 

He and his wife and two children recently relocated to the area from Thomasville, GA.

“It’s good to be back in Western North Carolina. These are the patients I want to serve and this is where I want to spend my career,” Dr. Myers said. “I’m blessed to do what I do. I get to share time with patients during one of the most important experiences in their lives and make bonds, perhaps much deeper than in other areas of medicine.” 

Dr. Myers noted that he’s particularly interested in community and patient education.  “I like to get to know my patients and their families as best as I can,” he said. “That helps me to understand how medical concerns fit in with the rest of their lives, and allows me to be of greater service.”
