Haywood Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). JCAHO is changing its process to conduct a full survey of each organization every three years, and collect updates every year. On-site visits are unannounced. In order to incorporate input from patients and others served by the accredited organizations. JCAHO will receive comments and complaints regarding quality and patient safety, and investigate these issues during the survey process. Any comment can be forwarded to JCAHO by mail to:
