Haywood Regional Medical Center is located in in Haywood County in Western North Carolina,  home of the Great Smoky Mountains. The medical center is easily accessible from Interstate 40 at Exit 27 and U.S. 19-23/74.

Haywood County features several golf courses, hiking and nature trails and superior trout and bass fishing in nearby lakes and mountain streams. Nearby are the nation's two most visited national parks: the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway. Located in Maggie Valley is the Cataloochee Ski Area.
