Fitness Expo coming to MedWest Health & Fitness Center
CLYDE, N.C. – Most people make resolutions to achieve fitness in the New Year. Unfortunately, many lose motivation and slip back into old habits after a couple of months go by. It does not have to be this way.
MedWest Health & Fitness Center wants to help by offering a Fitness Expo from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 18.
“Spring into Fitness” is free and includes a variety of group fitness classes with certified instructors. Classes will be held in 20-minute sessions. Formats include cycle, water, cardio, strength, mind/body and youth fitness.
“This expo is an opportunity for members and nonmembers to sample the wide variety of classes we offer at MedWest Health & Fitness Center,” says Douglas Gregory, Fitness Coordinator.
During the expo, nonmembers will be invited to join the facility without paying an initiation fee (upon signing up for a six-month membership). Members and nonmembers are also invited to take advantage of two personal training packages:
Option 1: a single 30-minute session for $15
Option 2: six, 30-minutes sessions for $95
Both sets of sessions are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
“We are also excited to offer two youth fitness options during our expo,” says Lorri Reece, Nursery Supervisor.
Youth Escape will be offered at 10:30 a.m. and Youth Cycle will begin at 11 a.m. Youth classes are appropriate for children ages 8-13.
“Childcare will be available at no charge during the expo for children ages 3 months to 8 years in our onsite nursery,” adds Reece.
The expo will serve as a kick-off event for the MedWest Fitness Challenge “Spring into Fitness.” Members can join the fitness challenge for only $10. The “Spring into Fitness” challenge runs from Feb. 18 to March 31. Each participant who completes the fitness challenge will receive an award and be entered to win additional prizes.
